It is difficult to tell from the photo but this hat was knit with two types of yarn. Both yarns are white, one had little sparkles in the yarn and it wasn't very soft. That is why I knitted it double stranded with a second white yarn that was softer.

Similar to my previous "Nervous Hat" this hat was knit just so that I could knit something. It was also knit with a knit 2 pearl 2 ribbed hat band and stockinette stich for the rest of the hat. This hat was also knit just a little longer than the other version. So this one will actually go over my ears (always an added bonus for a knit cap).

Due to the sparkly nature of the hat, in all likelyhood this will end up as a hat for my now eight-year old niece.
